Le Karaté Contact
Section Karaté Contact, nouvelle discipline sportive
Le "Karaté Contact" est une variante du Karaté qui permet la mise en pratique en toute sécurité (casque, gants, protège-tibias,et protège-pieds). Les différentes techniques de pieds et de poings sont issues du karaté traditionnel.
Le Karate-contact est une formule sportive de Karaté de compétition lancé en France par Dominique Valéra et Françis Didier en 1978. Dominique Valera, grand champion de Karaté des années
60 et 70 et pionnier en France du Kickboxing Full-contact, décide de promouvoir cette discipline en 2001. Le but du Karate Contact est de permettre aux Karatekas de s'affronter en portant les coups, pouvant mettre instantanément K.O. l'adversaire,
comme en Full-contact.
Afin de se démarquer de la Boxe Americaine, Dominique Valera a toujours garder le règlement sportif du Full-contact instauré en 1974 par la PKA, c'est à dire:
6 coups de pieds effectifs obligatoire par round
balayages, fauchages et saisies autorisées
projections de l'adversaire (de type judo ou de karate de compétition)
port du Kimono obligatoire
le combat ne s'arrête que lorsqu'il y a une faute, par abandon ou par KO de l'adversaire.
Dominique Valéra y ajoute : 2 low-kicks sur les cuisses internes et externes par round.
Discipline sportive officiellement acceptée par l'organisation française FFKAMA. Dominique Valera organise la première coupe de France en 2003. Il conçoit des protections adaptées : gants rembourré, protèges pieds, protèges tibias et casque épais. Il
crèe aussi un Kimono spécifique au Karate Contact avec une bande rouge, blanche et bleue sur les flans des manches de la veste et du pantalon du Kimono.
